The opening hours and kitchen are everyday from 10 am to 2 am. The staff is swift and friendly, and very able to consult you in English what to order.

When it comes to ordering I recommend to get yourself a Svickova. This is one of and probably the most typical Czech dish you get in Czech Republic. Many of my Czech friends always dream of this dish when they are abroad, since this beef cutlet in this mild-creamy sauce has this sweet taste and comes with sliced bread dumplings as side and cranberry jam and an extra whipped cream. But have look:

The Svickova is super-delicious and a must, an experience you don’t want to miss and goes well with a tasty Kozel, a typical Czech dark beer as shown on the picture.

Here is a close-up of what you get when ordering a Svickova.

The Svickova you will get in many restaurants in Prague but here at the Restaurace U Vejvodů they serve it in excellent quality with a traditional brewery atmosphere.

The Bottom Line: The highly awarded Restaurace U Vejvodů, located in the Jilská 4 Praha 1, is a great place to have this Czech cuisine experience with super-delicious food. In search for a typical Czech dish, do yourself a favor and order the Svickova, the most traditional and all-time favorite dish of the locals.

With Love!
